ONGOING CLASSES WORKSHOPS PRIVATE LESSONS
THEME WORKSHOPS: 'Light & Shadow', 'Color' and 'Composition'
Carole Peirson teaches these three theme-workshops on a regular basis. The workshops are designed to study the subjects through theory and exercises. These are in-depth workshops with the emphasis on learning from existing theories, clear examples, practical exercises and hand-outs. Goal is not to go home with a finished painting, but to study and exercise and improve the ability to paint or draw subject matter more creatively and effectively.
These 1-day workshops are open to artists who work in various mediums, such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel and pencil.
Carole Peirson teaches plein-air workshops to help students enjoy painting outdoors or on vacation. This one day plein-air (outdoor) workshop is designed to help students quickly paint their own small sketches to capture a “moment in time”. These quick and fun studies will make unique mementos of Summer travels or even make great personal gifts. The plein-air workshop will take place on:

Carole will discuss the difference between working outdoors v. indoors and show examples, show travel gear & demonstrate working on location under time constraint because of the changing sunlight. Students will use a limited palette and get a lot of individual instruction.
Cost: $95 (materials and brown bag lunch not included). Registration with the ESO by phone or online in advance is necessary, since spaces are limited. A list of materials and directions to the location will be provided after registration and a plein-air easel can be provided if necessary.
