PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are a good investment for the starting or intermediate student. Intensive, one-on-one sessions are effective and productive. The sessions can be arranged fitting your work or family schedule, varying from one or two weekends to one entire week. The sessions will start with some basic theory on oil painting materials, layering of an oil painting and transfer methods. The rest will be hands-on practice, combined with demonstrations and exercises or individual requests. The student will be able to answer questions and see examples of Carole's work (in progress) and will leave with hand-outs, one (or more) paintings and a lot of information to use at home! “Your private lessons were incredible, it was wonderful getting one on one instruction on totally new techniques...I learned so much about color, shape, form, perspective, light, shadow...I now look at a group of trees and really notice how the light filters through, how many different colors of green there are. Your landscape demo was so helpful, as were the demos. But what I loved best was learning about glazing, I had been wanting to learn that for a while, and am amazed at the results. My still life was also the first painting that I ever did that was my own design, and I am looking forward to doing some more in the near future.
