Welcome to the online gallery of Dutch artist Carole Böggemann Peirson on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.

This painting, entitled "Fragrance" 12x12 was donated to the

Nansemond-Suffolk Academy, where I'll be featured artist this month,

and will be part of their permanent collection!

After another successful event at the Barrier Islands Center in Machipongo, VA last November, it was back to the easel for a few Christmas commissions! I painted various works, including a portrait commission...something I don't do on a regular basis. The portrait was of the late Florence Vermeal (see below), who's husband wanted to have a lasting memory of his beloved wife and mother of 4. I was truly honored and very thankful that I was able to capture her likeness! After the holidays, I started working on new works for the Art Show & Sale at Nansemond-Suffolk Academy later this month. Opening for the public is on Saturday, January 26 from 10am till 4pm. I will be present the entire day to answer questions about my work and techniques and look forward to seeing you there!
